With the recent economic patterns, will we see an interest rate increase this month? According to a CIBC economist, it does not look like the Bank of Canada will be enforcing a rate hike, as their increases are usually an indication of a strong economic trend. If however there is a positive breakthrough with the NAFTA agreement, then it is safe to expect a rate increase to follow thereafter.
